ALL LATE WORK IS DUE BY THURSDAY, JUNE 2. I have no room for exceptions. Only assignments within the 2-week late window will be accepted. THERE WILL BE NO LATE WORK OPTIONS AFTER JUNE 2 FOR ANY ASSIGNMENT. Any assignments not turned in the day they are due from June 2 on will remain as a zero as a missing assignment. Monday: Read the article about Harper Lee once and write a gist statement (what is the article generally about?), at the top of the first page (be sure to put your own name on the article!). Turn in your vocabulary book to be graded this week. Tuesday: Reread the article about Harper Lee again, and annotate while you read. You can highlight, mark with symbols (see examples below), write questions, jot notes, and write short summaries of important ideas, among other things. This is a way to make your reading visible to someone else and yourself for later reference. This will be checked on Thursday during class. Examples of symbols you can use while reading and annotating (but not limited to…): Thursday: 30 minutes on Study Island’s Learning Path Friday: Vocab book, unit 10, pg 126-127, words 128-130, Choosing the Right Word pg 131-132. If you cannot find one you would rewrite, pick a heading and explain why you think it is a good choice for that section. Harper Lee Article #2- Second book… Pick a detail from this article. Explain how it helps you understand the bigger ideas in the article. Write out your answer in paragraph form. READING:
