We are tackling Twelfth Night in our writing classes now! It's a jump from Maya Angelou, but we booked the tickets for the show last spring and are still excited to squeeze it in! Because of all the other things going on right now (African dancing, CAPE with 8th grade), we are going to spend relatively little time on the play, but it is a funny one, once you sort out all the love confusion! Ask your child why it's called Twelfth Night!
Room 201 attends the play on April 1. Thanks so much to Mrs. Susberry, who rearranged the PARCC schedule so that they could attend (they were originally scheduled on March 25, our furlough day).
Rooms 206, 207, and 208 attend the play on April 4.
As we continue through the mini-unit for Shakespeare, we will keep Maya Angelou alive in our rooms by having 3 students each day recite one of her poems.
